It has been a long winter especially for us Long Islanders. Last fall we were hit by Sandy and this winter by a heavy snowstorm, that even closed the LIE, and a lot of cold weather. But spring is nearly here and one of our most exciting events is almost upon us, the annual member meeting. Like last year it will be held at Exotic Classics and there will be food and a chance to share stories with our fellow members. Members that are signed to 2015 will receive a gift from NYC-LI.

We have other exciting events coming up as well. In April, 20 lucky members will have a tour of Peter Neidershiem's collection of motorcycles and automobiles. He has such a large collection of BMW motorcycles, that BMW Corp borrows them from him. The most amazing part is that ALL of them run. The cost is $20 and that includes lunch. On June 8th there is the 50th June Jamboree which promises to be even more exciting than usual. As we get more details we will pass them along to you.

We are already working on our fall event, Legends of the Autobahn. We hope to have even more Mercedes Benz's than last year. This event is held in Old Westbury Gardens and there we will be joined by the Porsche Club, the BMW Club and other exotic cars as well.

If you see an event you are interested in come and join us. If there is an event that you think we should do, please let us know. We can always use an extra helping hand. Our officers and their spouses work very hard to put these events together.

Did you know that our newsletter and Star-Gazer editor, John Mc Auliffe, was honored and received the MBCA excellence award for communication! The award was presented to him by our new Regional Director Joe Grattan at out Christmas Party . He has also assisted other sections of the MBCA and the award was mentioned in the most recent issue of the STAR. He is an invaluable asset to our club and to MBCA. Congratulations and we wish you continued success.

Great Condition w/3rd Passenger Seat. Used by the current owner as a summer car, it is all original, all factory, except for the 4-year-old Custom Metallic Burgundy finish. This car comes with both Soft and Hard Tops. The interior is white, has driver & passenger MBZ mats and original wood trim around the dash. The odometer reads 50804 original KM (app. 31,500 miles). The 2.3 litre 6 cyl. engine and 4-speed manual transmission were overhauled and the clutch replaced approximately 2000 miles ago. The exhaust, muffler, seat covers and soft top were replaced around 4 years ago. The Goodyear Integrity tires are new. And just as important, this is a NO-SMOKING car.
